Every morning across Germany, mothers pack a sandwich for their children to take to school. Not just any sandwich — a Pausenbrot. Made on thick sourdough, wrapped with care, eaten at the school break. It means "break bread" — a moment of comfort in the middle of a busy day.
We brought that tradition to Goa.
At Bakery Pausenbrot we bake real German sourdough every day from scratch — just flour, water, salt, and time.

A lot of time. Our loaves cold-ferment for up to 36 hours before they ever see the oven. You can smell the difference before you even walk through the door.
Come in for a coffee and a cinnamon roll. Take home a loaf for the week. Or order our Friday delivery basket and let us bring Germany to your doorstep.

Sourdough Loaves

Our Sourdough Loaves are baked fresh in the morning so there’s always one available. Take some home today, or pre-order a Sourdough Loaf of your choice for tomorrow. Did you know that sourdough is much healthier and better to digest than yeast and that it contains around 90% less gluten than regular bread?
